Alex Levi is a 52-year-old sociologist and writer born in Rio de Janeiro. A scientist and researcher of Brazil’s paradoxical society and its inequality, marked by the division and classification of citizens into "castes." He dedicated a decade to studying Brazil’s social structures and inequality to write his latest work, Caste Democracy, the result of extensive field research and data analysis.
